100% SOLID WOOD

Wayshome brings you 100% solid wood furniture with top notch materials. We don't use veneer, MDF, plywood, chipboard or any kind of engineered wood.

More than 90% of the wood we use is from the extreme cold regions of North America, with a small percentage coming from Europe. The following six kinds of wood are adopted as the main materials for our furniture.

  • FAS Grade North American Black Walnut

  • FAS Grade North American Oak

  • FAS Grade North American Cherry Wood

  • FAS Grade North American Ash

  • Grade A European Beech

  • Grade A European Fraxinus Mandshurica

According to the NHLA grading system, FAS Grade has the highest grade among North American hardwood. We only choose high quality hard wood!

In addition to the six main materials above, some wood is used as auxiliary materials, such as New Zealand pine and paulownia wood. New Zealand pine boasts excellent strength and flexibility. It’s not prone to deformation or cracking, and is usually used as the paving board for sofas and beds. Paulownia wood demonstrates remarkable resistance to various factors. It is resistant to wear, against moisture, acid and alkali, and decay, and is also not prone to deformation. It is mainly used as the inner board of drawers, the back board of cabinets, the inner board of storage beds, and the partition board of some shoe cabinets.

ARTISANAL PRODUCTION CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each piece of our furniture is crafted with meticulous care. It's built to last! We have employed a diverse range of techniques to guarantee that our furniture is not only durable and sturdy but also health-friendly, and capable of accompanying you for an extended period.

To prevent cracking and deformation, the direct splicing technique of large boards is adopted in manufacturing the furniture. The employment of traditional mortise and tenon structures makes the furniture sturdier. High-quality hardware components remain stable and smooth even after long-term use.

We use premium varnish and plant based wood wax oil to finish the coating of the products. The content of formaldehyde, benzene or other harmful substances in the varnish is much lower than that of the national standard of China. Plant based wood wax oil is extracted from natural sources like linseed oil, carnauba wax, etc. Our coating materials are environmentally friendly and ensure the maximum preservation of wood texture and a clear grain.

By hand brushing and sanding the wood's surface,and GLAZE coloring process, our furniture is available in a variety of finishes.
